ECONOMIC MEXICAN FOOD

In México is very common to eat “antojitos” these are typical snacks made with corn, tortillas and different ingredients like cheese, beef, pork or vegatables, with a very low cost and a lots of mexican flavour, here we explain some of them:
Salbute: Fried corn tortilla with sliced turkey or pork, red onion and avocado.
Panucho: Fried corn tortilla with beans, lettuce, sliced turkey, tomatoe, onion, sour orange juice and a special dressing made with chile and achiote.
Empanada: Corn pie that can be filled with cheese, pork, beef, and different vegetables like mushrooms.
Quesadilla: Fried tortilla filled with cheese, pork, beef and vegetables (try the huitlacoche quesadilla, the Mexican Corn Trufle… gourmet delite..the best you ever eat!!)
Tacos al Pastor: In every corner you will see a red meat in a stick, is marinated pork sliced and served in tacos with cilantro, onion and a piece of pineapple ….… delicious!!! Take care with the sauces!
Tortas: Sandwiches in mexican bread named “bolillo o telera” filled with ham, pork, turkey or chicken and cheese, with avocado, tomatoe, onion and beans, very practical food!
Comida Corrida: It is a complete meal with a very low cost (around 40 to 60 pesos each) includes: soup, main dish (can be beef, chicken or pork stews) and Water (jamaica, horchata, orange, lemonade) some of them includes dessert, and tortillas.
