Puerto Morelos is a port located 20 minutes from Cancun Quintana Roo and 1 hour from Playa del Carmen. The main activity in Puerto Morelos if fishing and is an ancient tradition for the local people and the boom in tourism is on the rise. The atmosphere is laid back. There is a zocalo in the center with stores, dive shops and restaurants.
